Black History Month event 2015

London Black Atheists were delighted to have  Dr Gus Casely-Hayford  gave an hugely interesting talk which was followed by a Q&A on the Malian Kingdom as part of the Black History Month and 3rd Anniversary celebrations. He looked at the Kingdoms of Africa before the European colonisation and before religion took its hold.

Dr Gus Casely-Hayford is a British curator and cultural historian with Ghanaian roots. He is a King’s College Institute Associate (at King’s College London) and a Research Associate at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). In 2010, as part of the Wonderful Africa Season, he presented Lost Kingdoms of Africa, for the BBC.
